Well, we all know that a full professional paint job is not cheap and so there are times we want to refresh the paint finish on the car without going too deep into our pockets. This is where paint correction comes in! Ideally, you want to minimize as much as possible on paint work and let buffing and paint touch up do the trick.
Here in this paint correction post, we highlight this Toyota Vanguard (color: 1H2 Dark Steel Mica/ Blue Met) which visited our body shop for paint correction. Now, the owner did not want a full paint job and rightly so given the condition of the paint was fairly okay. After assessment, we determined that we needed to repaint the rear bumper and then touch up the deep scratches and holes on the rest of body with paint. This was to be finished off with the 3 stage buffing to correct all the clear coat level scratches inclusive of headlight restoration and watermark removal. As always, never forget to include our special steam detailing service for the ultimate detail experience.
With scope established, we went to work. The bumper was removed from the car and preparation started right away.
Also going on was corrective 3 stage buffing as well as detailing the interior and engine bay.
One very important thing in paint repairs is colour match and we made sure to get that right. I will say this was easy because the car has not seen a lot of repair work and so the original paint is still in place. We simply got the manufacturer coded paint and the colour match was right on the money!
The bumper was installed and the final stages of corrective buffing completed. Detailing was also finalized with all the plastic trims cleaned and restored to factory finish.
