I think we all agree when we say that front and rear bumpers on a car tend to see the most damage mainly because of their positioning. Even without any major incidents, small scrapes and dents are not uncommon over a long period of time.
On this Subaru Impreza, we set out to repair both bumpers following an assessment. In addition to this, we determined to also do headlight restoration, watermark removal, buffing and general paint correction on some of the panels to fix the deep scratches. As always, we include our specialty steam detailing BONFIRE package for upholstery and engine bay cleaning.
We set out with unmounting the bumpers from the car to start the repair works. As this was ongoing, the car was detailed.
After preparation of the bumpers, the base coat was applied (code H3Q: Deep Sea Blue) and finished off with a two pack acryllic clear coat for a factory style finish.
Now, repairing the bumper and applying the correct paint colour code alone doesn’t guarantee that colour match will be achieved. Correctly preparing the surfaces to be painted and applying the right hue of primer sealer helps with matching.
