Reviving a Damaged Nissan Tiida

Accidents can be frustrating, but when they happen, you want the best solution for your car. Dealing with authorities and insurance companies can add to the stress. Recently, we had a silver Nissan Tiida that needed some attention due to front-end damage from an accident.

First, we assessed the damage. It turned out that not only did we need to fix the damaged parts, but we also had to repaint most of the car. There was a color mismatch issue from previous paint jobs, so we decided to repaint everything except for the two doors on the driver’s side. The damaged panels, including the bonnet, bumper, and front right wing, were going to be replaced. We also had plans to replace the windshield and side mirrors.

Once we had a clear plan, it was time to get to work. We removed the damaged panels and installed the new ones to make sure they aligned properly, ensuring a good final finish.

The bonnet and wing needed some repairs during the alignment process. We briefly took off the front left wing to paint the inside silver, and the bonnet’s inner side was painted in place.

After the necessary filling and sanding work was completed, we applied a high-quality primer to create a solid foundation for the paint.

After letting the primer cure for 24 hours, we sanded down the surfaces, made any necessary corrections, and then applied a primer sealer before sending the car back into the spray booth.

This was followed by more sanding before applying the base and clear coats. We then applied the Brilliant Silver color (code K23) to the car. To finish the painting process, we applied a high-quality 2-pack acrylic clear coat.

With the paintwork completed, it was time to put the car back together.

The next steps involved steam detailing for the interior and engine bay, as well as corrective buffing to enhance the final appearance.

Now, are you ready for the big reveal? Take a look at the refreshed Nissan Tiida!
