This is the story of a Red Toyota IST brought in for a full paint respray by the owner. This is because the owner did not like the condition of the paint finish which was fading, peeling, popping and cracking.

We also noticed that the colour code which had been repainted before wasn’t accurate. The scope of work scheduled to be done in addition to the full respray of paint were: full interior steam detail, engine bay steam detail, rim restoration, number plates restoration, watermark removal, buffing and waxing. Note that other than rim restoration, the rest of the services are included at no extra cost with any paint work we do
The work starts here with taking down the previous filling done, fiber works on the front bumper etc. We started with repairs on the bonnet, front left fender, front right fender, rear left fender, rear bumper and front bumper which needed setting too.
The vehicle was then primed and taken into the booth for application of a layer of undercoat
Touch up and correction of sanding scratches was done. Application of the Toyota IST Super Red (the correct colour code) paint followed:
This was finished off with a high gloss clear for protection and long lasting shine
With paint work complete the vehicle was baked in the oven for about 40 minutes
Out favorite part – steam detailing, follows next for the interior and engine bay. For clarity, the headlights and the windows were restored too.
